Book Character Day and Holly's Guinea Pigs

We had such an exciting day today. We all dressed up for Book Character Day to finish off Book Week. Then Holly showed up her three Guinea Pigs named George, Ginger and Honey. Everyone had a cuddle and next week we will do some writing about the.

Pirate Writing

This week it is the book fair and the theme is pirates, so Miss Romeyn's writing group have been working super hard in creating exciting pirate writing. We have been writing about what we would do if we were pirates, created our own treasure maps and pirate characters to write about. We even got to wear a cool hat! Nursery Rhymes

We have started our nursery rhymes unit in Room 6, which we are enjoying each week!  Check out some of our artwork we have created so far.

Bucket Filling

We have been learning about bucket filling with Whaea Arna. Today we made our own buckets which we are going to fill up in class when we do something good. Thank you Whaea Arna.

Classroom treaty

We have updated our classroom treaty display. We traced an outline of our hands and then coloured these in. This formed a flower to symbolise that we will grow together in our learning. We will continue to make sure these rules that we have decided on, are in action throughout the year. Feel free to come into the classroom and see! I look forward to meeting everyone.

First day in Room 11

We had a great first day in Room 6.  We are enjoying having lots of room to move around. Looking forward to working with our new teacher Miss Romeyn.
