This week we had cross country which we were all getting very excited for. We all tried our very best and everyone in Room 6 should be very proud of their efforts! A few of us even got a placing. Well done to everyone!
Last week we finished reading Snow White. For our weekly fairy tale art we designed our own mirrors and drew ourselves in them. They look fantastic on our classroom display!!
This term we began our fairy tale unit. We have read Cinderella and Snow White so far and have learned what characters and a setting are. We have discussed what a fairy tale is and now know that they are fiction stories. We have started to discuss similarities and differences between each story. For our Cinderella art we drew a magic wand, and had lots of fun decorating with glitter. We then drew our Cinderella or prince and wrote about what we would do with our magic wands. We did so well in our writing!! Make sure to come into the classroom and check them all out!

Today Kalais brought his bunny 'Flop' into the classroom for a visit. Room 6 kids were very excited to have a look and pat. We had to be very gentle when we were holding the small bunny. We also asked Kalais lots of questions and learnt when the rabbit was born, where he got it from and what the rabbit eats. Thanks to Kalais for bringing his pet into our classroom.
Today we had lots of fun during our hands on activity in maths. We were practicing making patterns and counting in 2's, 5's and 10's. Some of us counted all the way up to 200!
Our class is getting so big! We have a new friend in Room 6 called Nicolaus. We love having lots of friends to learn and play with. Today we had everyone in class!
We had a great afternoon with Room 13 making kites. It was lovely to watch the interaction between the two rooms.
