Bees, Bees, Bees.

Room 5 & 6 are very excited about studying bees. Today we had a visit from a Beekeeper who was very impressed with what the children already knew about bees. She brought along the suit that she wears when working with the bees and an assortment of pollen, honey, honeycomb and the hive. We all got to taste the honey straight from the frame where the bees build their cells. 
Very exciting!!!

Hope they went home and shared all their new knowledge with you. They shared all they found out with Room 7 and 8.  

Isaac is holding 3kgs of honey. He said it was very heavy.
